Give Hope Wings

Give Hope Wings is an annual flying expedition (usually about 15-20 airplanes) to raise funds and awareness for Hope Air. Hope Air is a national charity that provides free flights, hotels, ground transportation, meals, etc. for people in financial need who must access specialized medical care far from home.

This year we have an exciting route planned from August 4th to the 15th including Halifax, St. John's, Goose Bay, Rimouski, Trois Rivieres and Sudbury. Participating pilots can fly all or part of the expedition.

There is some fundraising involved, but Hope Air provides all the materials to create a fundraising page that you can send to your family, friends other acquaintances.

Click Here for information or to register.

If you cannot participate as a pilot, please consider making a donation to our Fundraising Page. All donations receive a tax receipt.

If you would like to ask questions directly, please contact Lee at theleemars@gmail.com 416-576-9881

CYOO Runway 30 Departure From Bravo

New Departure Terminology

Nav Canada has issued a directive, that prior to issuing taxi instructions, the Oshawa tower query all aircraft planning to depart runway 30 from taxiway Bravo, that they are able an intersection departure with 4195 feet remaining.

This can be avoided by including "able departure from Bravo" when calling for taxi instructions.

Doing so will reduce radio chatter, thus allowing for safer, effective communications.

2026-08-15/16 North Port Fly-In

Volunteers Required

We have set the dates for the North Port Fly-In at Seagrave. In addition to activities of previous years, we are planning a Transport Canada Safety Seminar on Sunday.

We will require volunteers to lead Flight Line Tours and to do aircraft marshalling, among other duties. Please let us know you can help, so we can more easily make plans.
