Fly Out Trip To Buffalo Planning
Learn eAPIS, border crossing procedures and landing on a huge runway.

COPA Flight 70 is planning a Fly Out to Buffalo as a way of practising border crossing procedures and paperwork and gaining experience with radio communication and procedures at larger airports. We will fly from Oshawa and around the lake to Buffalo, which is about 45 minutes flying time. We will talk with Class C controllers at City Centre and Buffalo, as well as Toronto Terminal and Buffalo Approach, before landing on a 9000 foot runway. On departure from Buffalo, we will also talk with Clearance Delivery. Great practise! Everyone is welcome.

2025-06-07 Discover Aviation

Saturday June 7th (Rain Date Sunday)

COPA Flight 70 and the Buttonville Flying Club, together with the Durham Flight Centre will host a Discover Aviation event at Enterprise Airlines. We will be offering Free Flight Experiences to 8-17 year old girls and boys.

Patches and Decals

The new COPA Flight 70 patches and decals are now available.

COPA Flight 70 members will be provided with one of each when they next attend a meeting.

CANADIAN OWNER'S AND PILOT'S ASOCIATION - FLIGHT 70

COPA is the abbreviation for the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association. You do not need to be a pilot to join. Aviation enthusiasts are welcome !

We are the Durham Region chapter, called COPA Flight 70. We include members in the area around Oshawa, from Pickering to Coburg, and north past Port Perry.

We are a group of about 60 pilots who meet monthly, to hear interesting speakers, discuss local aviation issues and share information and education. We also assist other groups such as the Ninety-Nines and the RAA, in aviation activities.

Our primary purpose is to share the camaraderie of flying. We are also interested in promoting aviation and aviation safety.
